Knysna is easily accessible by flying into George and renting a car for the scenic 56km drive from George to Knysna. The town is also conveniently situated along the Cape Town - Port Elizabeth route on the N2 (approximately 500km east of Cape Town and approximately 270km west of Port Elizabeth) and is within easy self-drive distances from these and other major centres.
While we enjoy a warm summer, our winters rival a balmy European summer with daytime temperatures averaging at 19°C. Water temperatures of our estuary average between 18°C and 22°C in summer and 12°C to 18°C during winter, with similar sea temperatures.
